The Thomas More College women’s soccer team remained undefeated in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) as it defeated Chatham University, 3-0, at BB&T Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
With the win, the Saints improve to 10-3-1 overall and 4-0 in the PAC. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the PAC.
Thomas More took a 1-0 lead when first-year midfielder Hannah Dargo (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) scored off an assist by sophomore forward Olivia Nienaber (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) in in the 29th minute.
The Saints increased the lead to 2-0 in the 67th minute when senior forward Abby Stadtmiller (Alexandria, Ky./Bishop Brossart) scored off a cross from Nienaber. Thomas More closed out the scoring in the 76th minute when sophomore forward Shaye Isaacs (Nicholasville, Ky./West Jessamine) converted a penalty kick.
Sophomore goalkeeper Maddy Kim (California, Ky./Notre Dame Academy) earned the shutout win as she played all 90 minute in goal and recorded four saves.
Thomas More out-shot Chatham 12-5, 6-4 on-goal, and had a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Saints return to action on Tuesday (October 17) when they host Geneva College at 4:30 p.m. at BB&T Field.
