Northern Kentucky University head baseball coach Todd Asalon has named Connor Walsh as the new volunteer assistant coach. Walsh is a right-handed pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization with extensive knowledge about coaching and playing baseball.

“We are very excited to add Connor to our coaching staff,” said Asalon. “He will be a great asset for our pitching coach, Dizzy Peyton. Connor brings with him outstanding college and professional experience for our current pitchers, and we look forward to him being so heavily involved with our guys. As a current professional athlete with the Chicago White Sox, he will be able to share and relate his journey with our current players.”

Walsh attended the University of Cincinnati, where he was selected to the All-Academic Team in 2013 and 2014 for his accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2014 and is currently still pitching in the organization. In 2018 he was invited to the White Sox Major League Spring Training Camp.

Walsh has coached with the Cincinnati Baseball Club, and he hosts his own Dollar and a Dream Camp.
