Kentucky’s offense was arguably the nation’s most balanced and versatile in 2017, ranking near the top on almost every significant offensive category (see chart) a season after not faring well in any of those rankings. Every single regular starter saw significant jumps across the board in their production.

Ø  Led the SEC in 10 major offensive categories and ranked second in two others

Ø  Nearly set schools records in batting average, doubles, RBI and total bases

Ø  Tristan Pompey was all over the UK single-season hitting charts:

o   3rd in hits (96)

o   3rd in runs (70)

o   15th in total bases (143)

o   6th in walks (46)

Ø  Riley Mahan also landed on the single-season charts:

o   9th in hits (88)

o   6th in doubles (23)

o   6th in RBI (67)

o   9th in total bases (159)

Ø  Evan White ranked second on single-season doubles list with 24 despite missing 13 games

Ø  Zach Reks ranked 12th in hits (86) and 14th in walks (42)

Ø  Marcus Carson ranked 4th on all-time single-season HBP list (20)

Ø  Connor Heady (3rd) and Troy Squires (4th) each finished in top five single-season sacrifices list
