Kentucky State University baseball announced the signing of pitcher and first baseman Ethan Moore on Thursday afternoon.
Ethan (Moore) comes to us as a left-handed pitcher and a first baseman from Bullitt Central where he enjoyed two-way success for the Cougars,” said head coach Rob Henry. “I’m looking forward to him developing into a reliable pitcher and competing at first base as well.”
Moore, a native of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, batted .377 and notched a 2.35 ERA during his senior campaign with the Cougars while playing for his father, head coach Gary Moore Jr.
“He is the son of one of the most active coaches in the state of Kentucky,” said Henry. “So he should adapt quickly to the game at this level.”
Moore will begin class when students report to campus on Aug. 22 and will participate in fall camp with the Thorobreds.
