Josh Forrest Set For Senior Bowl Saturday

LEXINGTON, Ky. — After a week of preparation, Kentucky senior linebacker Josh Forrest is set to play in The Reese’s Senior Bowl on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET in Mobile, Ala., with the game televised live on the NFL Network.
Forrest is one of 110 invited seniors and fourth-year juniors slated to participate in the prestigious Senior Bowl. He will wear No. 45 in the game while playing on the South Team, directed by the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff.
A 6-foot-3 linebacker from Paducah, Ky., Forrest came to Kentucky as a receiver, before shifting to the defensive side of the ball and excelling as a tackle machine. As a junior, Forrest totaled a team-high 110 tackles and ranked third in the Southeastern Conference in tackles per game (9.2) during his junior season. He was named a third-team All-SEC honoree as a junior and senior by Phil Steele’s College Football. .
In 2015, Forrest ranked among the SEC’s top 10 tacklers, with 93 total tackles, along with six tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and one fumble caused. He also charted two interceptions and five pass breakups, returning one pick for a touchdown.
Off the field, Forrest was one of six Wildcats to complete his degree prior to his senior season. He earned his degree in community and leadership development and was working on a second degree in communications.
