For the second-straight week, the Campbellsville football team is mentioned in the receiving votes section of the NAIA Football Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Monday.

After sitting four spots outside of the top 25 last week, the Tigers are now two spots outside of the ranking with 12 total voting points.

Campbellsville has started the season with a 4-0 mark and sits at 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division. Of the nine teams in the NAIA without a loss this season, the Tigers are the only team not ranked inside the top 10 of the national poll. Campbellsville is the only team from the MSC mentioned in the receiving votes section of the ranking.

In their first home game in 43 days, the Tigers took down Bluegrass Division foe Kentucky Christian, 58-25. This is Campbellsville’s first 4-0 start since the 2001 season.

Lindsey Wilson College is the highest ranked team from the MSC Bluegrass as it moved up to No. 5 in the rating with 286 points. Georgetown College is also ranked inside the top 10 and climbed up a spot to ninth. Both Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown join Campbellsville among the unbeaten teams in the nation.

Cumberland University is the final Bluegrass Division team ranked in the top 25 after moving back into the poll after a one-week hiatus – with 22 points to sit 24th overall this week.

Reinhardt University – who is ranked third – is the only MSC Appalachian team ranked in the poll with 312 voting points. Southeastern University represents the MSC Sun in the top 25 after picking up 171 points to move to No. 14 in the ranking.

University of St. Francis continues its run at No. 1 with 340 total points and all 15 first-place votes. Baker University remains second overall with 327 points and Morningside College is the final team mentioned in the top five with 303 points.

Campbellsville hits the road this Saturday to face Cincinnati Christian University at 1:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon from Willard Stargel Stadium.
