RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University women’s golfer Elsa Moberly was named Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week, the conference recently announced. This is her third player of the week award this season.
The Somerset, Kentucky native carded rounds of 75, 72 and 70 to finish at 217 (+1). She finished first out of 66 competitors and two strokes ahead of second place, bringing her stroke average to second in the OVC at 72.4.
Her performance propelled the Colonels to a first place team finish by a full 20 shots at the Bill Berg Invitational hosted by Western Carolina.
EKU has completed the fall portion of its 2016-17 schedule with three wins and two second place performances in five events. The Colonels will be back in action on Feb. 10-11, 2017 at the Ball State Sunshine Invitational held at the Port St. Lucie Trail Golf Club in Florida.
