University of Louisville junior guard Hailey Van Lith has earned two All-American honors, maintaining the Louisville tradition of having a player named an All-American by the Associated Press for the 10th consecutive season. Van Lith was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the Associated Press and a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators. She is the first Academic All-American for the Cardinals since Dana Evans in 2021.

In her junior year, Van Lith has been a standout both on and off the court for the Cardinals. Academically, she boasts a 3.84 GPA while pursuing a finance degree. Athletically, she has been one of the most productive players for the Cardinals this season.

Leading the team with 19.2 points per game, Van Lith ranks second in assists per game (3.2) and third in rebounds per game (4.8). She is one of only two Power Five players, along with Caitlin Clark, who has averaged at least 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists per game this season. Van Lith’s achievements include being named First Team All-ACC for the second consecutive season, ACC First Team All-Tournament, and a Drysdale Award Finalist for the best shooting guard in the country.

Nationally, Van Lith ranks 17th in total points scored (634), 18th in free throw percentage (88.4), 22nd in field goals made (223), 23rd in minutes per game (36.85), and 28th in points per game (19.2). This season, her 634 points rank eighth all-time for the most in a single season, and her 19.2 points per game average is tied for eighth all-time. She has scored in double figures in 31 of her 33 games this season, achieving 20 or more points in 16 games. Against ACC opponents, she has scored 15 points or more in 17 games and 20 points or more in 10 games.

One of her standout performances this season came in a road game against Florida State in January. Van Lith racked up 20 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and tied a career-high with five steals. Her crucial jumper in the final minute, as the shot clock was expiring, sealed the victory for the Cardinals, making them the only team to beat Florida State in Tallahassee this season. Van Lith is the only Power Five player in the country with at least 20 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, and five steals in a single game this season.

Van Lith and the Cardinals will return to the court this weekend for the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinals, as the No. 5 seed in the Seattle 4 Regional, are heading to Austin, Texas for the first and second rounds. They will face the No. 12 seed Drake, winners of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Cardinals and Bulldogs will compete at the Moody Center on Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing on ESPN2.
