University of Louisville guard Arica Carter and forward Sam Fuehring were both selected in the 2019 WNBA Draft on Wednesday night in New York.

Carter went 32nd overall to the Phoenix Mercury, while Fuehring went 34th to the Washington Mystics.

They are joined by guard Asia Durr, who was selected second overall by the New York Liberty. The three draft picks are the most in a single draft for Louisville, matching the 2014 WNBA Draft when Shoni Schimmel, Antonita Slaughter and Asia Taylor were all selected.

With all three seniors being drafted, Louisville now has 11 players that have been selected in the history of the WNBA Draft. Of the 11 WNBA Draft picks, nine have played under head coach Jeff Walz.

Fuehring will be joined by former teammate Myisha Hines-Allen in Washington, D.C., as she was selected by the Mystics with the 19th overall pick a year ago.

The senior class of Carter, Durr and Fuehring finished their career with 123 wins, making them the winningest class in program history. They won ACC regular season titles in 2018 and 2019, an ACC Tournament title in 2018, and helped the Cardinals make three Sweet 16’s, two Elite 8’s and the 2018 Final Four.
