EKU WBB Welcomes In-State Rival Morehead To McBrayer Arena On Monday

Eastern Kentucky University’s women’s basketball team welcomes in-state rival Morehead State University to McBrayer Arena on Monday night.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Fans will receive signed posters and Level Up t-shirts at Monday’s home game against MSU, while supplies last. It will be ugly Christmas sweater night and all of the coaches will wear ugly Christmas sweaters.

INSIDE THE SERIES

– This will be the 101st all-time meeting between the two teams.

– Eastern leads the all-time series between the two teams, 54-46.

– The Colonels defeated the Eagles Friday night in Morehead, 50-49. 

THE COLONELS

–  Eastern comes in at 1-2 (1-0 OVC), after defeated Morehead State, Friday night in Morehead. 

–  Kendall Wingler led the way for the Colonels posting a team-best 12 points against the Eagles on Friday.

–  Corriana Evans chipped in a season-best 10 points in the road win against Morehead State on Friday.

–  The Colonels had 15 steals against their in-state rival Morehead State last Friday.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

–  Morehead State comes into the contest, 0-2 (0-1 OVC), after falling to Eastern Kentucky last Friday at home.

–  Gabby Crawford and Jazzmyn Elston both led the way for the Eagles posting a game-best 14 points against the Colonels.

–  Ariel Kirkwood posted 15 rebounds and six assists in the loss to the Colonels on Friday. 

–  The Eagles out-rebounded the Colonels, 48-37.
