Bellarmine University sophomore forward Adam Eberhard has made the Top 50 Watch List for Small College Basketball’s Bevo Francis Award, the organization announced Wednesday.

The initial watch list for the honor comprised 100 players. It will be pared down to 25 on March 15, 13 on April 1 and the winner will be announced on April 3.

Men’s basketball players affiliated with NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and NCCAA were eligible.

Eberhard has had a breakout sophomore season for Bellarmine, leading the Knights in scoring (17.1), rebounding (7.3) and assists (3.7). The native of Evansville, Indiana, has connected on 58.4 percent of his shots and 88.1 percent of his free throws.

Eberhard has posted five double-doubles for No. 4 Bellarmine, which is 22-3 and leading the Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division at 14-1.

“I sincerely congratulate the 50 players that are listed on the Bevo Francis Watch List,” SCB Founder John McCarthy said in a statement. “Clearly, this is a very elite group of players that are each in the midst of an outstanding season.”
