Last month we reported that Austin Peay guard and former Warren Central star Jared Savage was transferring from Austin Peay to Lipscomb. The plan has now changed. The former Warren Central Dragon star is bringing his talents back to his hometown and will become a Hilltopper.
Savage was part of the 2013 fourth regional champion for Warren Central and the 2016 OVC championship run for Austin Peay. Savage averaged 10.3 points per game as a sophomore for Austin peay in 2016 – 2017 including a 24 points performance against Western Kentucky in December which included shooting 5-6 from beyond the arc. Savage will sit out the 2017-2018 season and have two years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 18-19 season.
