Kentucky State University WBB Adds D-1 Transfer Chea Taylor to 2017 Signing Class

Kentucky State University women’s basketball announced the signing of 6 foot 0 power forward Chea Taylor on Tuesday afternoon.

Hailing from Bellbrook, Ohio, Taylor will be transferring to the Thorobrettes’ program from NCAA Division I, University of Detroit Mercy. As a sophomore for the Titans, Taylor played in 30 games, starting in 28 straight contest, while averaging four points and three rebounds per game during the 2015-16 season. She shot 49 percent from the floor and averaged 16 minutes per game.

As a student-athlete at Bellbrook High School, Taylor racked up various accolades in the Buckeye State. She was named the Southwestern Buckeye League Player of the Year in 2014. Taylor averaged 18 points a game during her senior campaign and was named both First-Team All-District and First-Team All-League.

Taylor will have two remaining years of eligibility at KSU.
