Thomas More MBB Reid Jolly Named to Bevo Francis Award Watch List

Thomas More men’s basketball Redshirt Junior Reid Jolly (Alexandria, Ky./Campbell County) was named to the Bevo Francis Award Watch List on Sunday. The award is given to the one player with the best overall season in Small College Basketball. This includes players in NCAA Division II, III, the NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA. Jolly is the only player from the Mid-South Conference to be named to this list.

Jolly has had an outstanding season for the Saints. He leads the MSC with 19 points per game and 138 made field goals. He is also second in the conference with 342 points. Jolly’s impressive statistics don’t stop there, he is also second on the team with 109 rebounds and seven blocks. He is also third on the team with 31 assists and 13 steals.

Jolly has recorded five double-doubles this season, and has scored in double-digits in 16 of the team’s 18 games. He has scored 20 or more points in nine games, and 30 or more in one game. In his career at Thomas More, Jolly has 14 double-doubles.

The players on the Bevo Francis Award Watch List are judged on statistics, individual achievements, awards, personal character, and team achievements. Jolly has a strong case for the award, and has proven himself to be a valuable asset to the Saints team.

Thomas More defeated Georgetown on the road earlier this season 61-38 on Nov. 19, 2022. This game is sure to be a thrilling matchup with both teams looking to secure a victory.
