For the third time this season, Thomas More College junior guard Madison Temple (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) was named to the National Team of the Week presented by Scoutware.
The Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, is’s weekly honor roll. This is the program’s 21st season recognizing the performance at each of the five positions for the previous week. Temple was also named to the Team of the Week on December 5 and January 9.
Temple helped lead the fourth-ranked Saints to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Saint Vincent College and Washington & Jefferson College, capping an undefeated PAC regular season for Thomas More, by averaging 20.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She shot 55.6 percent (15-of-27) from the field, including 60 percent (6-of-10) from behind the arc. In Wednesday’s win at Saint Vincent she had a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double, while also adding three assists and a pair of steals. Temple just missed a triple-double in the Saints’ 92-42 win over W&J on Saturday, finishing with 24 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and two steals.
Temple, this week’s Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week, and the top-seeded Saints return to the court on Friday (February 23) when they will host either fourth-seeded Grove City College or fifth-seeded Waynesburg University in an 8 p.m. semifinal round game of the PAC Championship Tournament at the Connor Convocation Center.
