Lady Topper Tennis competed in only singles competition against the Mavericks of UT Arlington on Friday afternoon. WKU was defeated 4-0 in the third through sixth spots of the singles lineup.

Finishing first was freshman Kyla Dilger who was defeated 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth slot. Fellow freshman Judit Gonzalez Agud was the next to wrap up, falling to her Maverick opponent 6-1, 6-1. Finally, Zeniece Charles-Hall put up a fight, but was ultimately defeated 6-3, 6-2 in the fourth spot.

UT Arlington won No. 6 Singles matchup by default and clinched the match win.

Sophomore Laura Bernardos and junior Lisa Friess were each down one set in their first match when play ceased. In their first sets, Bernardos fell 6-3 to No. 113 Momoka Horiguchi while Friess was narrowly defeated 7-6 by her opponent.

WKU will round out its longest road trip of the regular season with a match at North Texas tomorrow at 12 p.m. CT.
