Blue Team Dominates in Kentucky STUNT Scrimmage

The Blue team faced off against the White team in the Kentucky STUNT Blue/White scrimmage on Saturday, February 5th, at Memorial Coliseum. The game was a close battle, with the Blue team coming out on top with a final score of 17-12. The game provided an opportunity for UK head coach Blair Bergmann to see how his team would perform in front of a large crowd.

The first quarter was a close battle, with each team grabbing a point on the second routine. The Blue team held a 3-2 lead at the end of the quarter. In the second quarter, the teams alternated points, with the Blue team holding a 5-4 lead at halftime. The White team tied the game at 5-5 in the third quarter, but the Blue team took the final two points to end the quarter ahead 8-6.

The fourth quarter began with the White team scoring two points and the Blue team scoring one. In the next routine, the teams tied, but the Blue team took the other two points to lead 14-11. In the final round of the fourth quarter, the Blue team secured the victory with two points compared to just one for the White team.

Coach Bergmann was pleased with the atmosphere of the game and was excited to see a lot of good coming from his team. Although he noted that there were areas that need improvement, he is confident that his team will be able to build on their performance. The team begins its regular season on February 16th against Arizona State in the Dallas Baptist Tournament.
