Phekran Kong’s 16 kills and three blocks lead Cardinals to 3-1 victory at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena

The University of Louisville celebrated a 3-1 win over Tennessee in a spring exhibition match, driven by Phekran Kong’s impressive performance of 16 kills and three blocks. The capacity crowd at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena witnessed the Cardinals secure victory with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, and 25-21.

Aiko Jones also contributed to the win, recording double-digit kills with 14 and adding three blocks. Meanwhile, transfer outside hitter Charitie Luper bolstered the team’s offense with 14 kills and two aces.

The match marked the end of the spring exhibition season for the University of Louisville. During the season, the Cardinals triumphed over Kentucky and Ohio State but suffered a loss against professional team Athletes Unlimited. With the conclusion of the exhibition season, the Cardinals can now look forward to building upon their successes in the upcoming competitive season.
