Four Eastern Kentucky University football players were recently chosen to the Community Trust Bank 2018 Kentucky’s Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team presented by the Kentucky Pro Football Hall of Fame. Those four are Gavin Bryant, Dan Paul, Cameron Kowalewski, and LJ Scott.

The Kentucky Collegiate All-Commonwealth Team is a pre-season recognition award for football players attending a Kentucky college or university. The All-Commonwealth Team represents the best college football players that the state of Kentucky has to offer.

Bryant is a redshirt senior linebacker from Jackson, Alabama. He saw action in nine games last season, starting the last four games. He finished with 44 tackles, with 1.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass break-up.

Paul, a redshirt senior tight end from Naples, Florida, played in all 11 games last season and started in four. He was named first team All-OVC by coaches and media relations directors. He had 41 receptions on the year with 407 yards and one touchdown.

Kowalewski is a redshirt senior offensive lineman from Dallas, Georgia. He started the first eight games of 2017 before suffering a season-ending injury.

Scott, a running back from Marion, Ohio, was named second team All-OVC as a kick returner last season. He ran for 294 yards on 86 carries and had a team-best six rushing touchdowns. Scott also caught 16 passes for 114 yards, and compiled 629 kickoff return yards on 21 returns.

The Eastern Kentucky University football program has won two national championships, 21 conference titles and has made 21 playoff appearances. No other Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team has won at least two national titles and 20 or more conference championships.
