The Horizon League office released the 2018-19 Northern Kentucky men’s basketball schedule Wednesday afternoon.
NKU welcomes IUPUI and UIC to BB&T Arena to kick off the league schedule. The Norse and Jaguars take to the court on Friday, Dec. 28, while the Flames head to BB&T Arena Sunday, Dec. 30.
Northern Kentucky then embarks on a stretch where 4-of-5 games will be played on the road. The first road swing takes NKU to the Motor City for matchups at Oakland and Detroit Mercy on Jan. 3 and 5, respectively.
The Norse return home for a Friday-night tilt against rival Wright State, set for Jan. 11.
A trip to Northeast Ohio wraps up the stretch of road games, featuring matchups against Cleveland State (Jan. 17) and Youngstown State (Jan. 19).
The remaining league schedule sees the Norse alternate home and road settings. Green Bay and Milwaukee make the trek to Highland Heights Jan. 24 and 26, respectively, before Northern Kentucky travels to IUPUI (Feb. 1) and UIC (Feb. 3).
Homecoming festivities will be held the following weekend, with Detroit Mercy and NKU squaring off on Thursday, Feb. 7. Northern Kentucky’s homecoming game is slated for Feb. 9 against Oakland.
The Norse then battle Wright State Friday, Feb. 15, in the away matchup between the two squads.
Youngstown State and Cleveland State provide the final home Horizon League contests for the Norse. The Penguins come to town on Feb. 21, while the Vikings make the trip on Feb. 23.
The regular-season comes to a close with a trip to the Badger State for games against Milwaukee (Feb. 28) and Green Bay (March 2).
