WKU Baseball travels up I-65 to Louisville this weekend, as the Hilltoppers and Cardinals will play a scrimmage on Saturday, September 15 beginning at 1 p.m. ET. Admission into Jim Patterson Stadium will be free to catch the first fall action for the 2018-19 Hilltoppers.
In addition, the WKU Alumni Association is hosting a tailgate on the third base side of the field from 3:30-6:30 p.m. ET in conjunction with WKU Football’s game later that evening against Louisville. On the gridiron, the Hilltoppers and Cardinals will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
“We look forward to having the opportunity to compete against the UofL, it will be an exciting challenge for our guys,” head coach John Pawlowski said. “It’s going to be a great day for all WKU fans to come out and support the Hilltoppers.”
Fans can find more information and register HERE. The fee is $20 for WKU Alumni Association members or $25 for non-members, while children 10 and under will receive free admission. Food will be provided (hot dogs, hamburgers, sides, cookies, non-alcoholic beverages and other tailgate fare) and attendees can otherwise BYOB.
The 2018-19 WKU Baseball team returns 15 letterwinners, including defending Conference USA hitting champion, sophomore outfielder Luke Brown. Juniors Kevin Lambert and RayZuberer III are also back for the Hilltoppers, as well as senior pitchers Jacob Green, Troy Newell and Colby Taylor.
