The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule this weekend when they travel to Morgantown, West Virginia.

The Colonels will take on Navy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, followed by the host West Virginia and Duquesne on Saturday.

Live statistics will be provided for all matches.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

-Eastern comes into the weekend at 5-6, after falling in the midweek to Marshall on Tuesday.

-Freshman Abby Noll continues her stellar freshman campaign, posting match-highs with 14 kills and 13 digs. Noll has a team-best 121 kills, (3.67 kills per set) and 116 digs on the year. Her 3.67 kills per set rank fourth in the OVC 

-Dena Tekavec brings her team-high 132 digs on the year into the weekend. Her 3.77 digs per set ranks eighth in the conference.

-Senior Rachel Woody ranks fifth in the conference with 8.77 assists per set on the year. She has a team-high 307 assists.

-Eastern ranks first in the conference in opponent hitting percentage at .133.

-The Colonels rank first in the OVC in digs per set at 17.44.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS:

NAVY

-The Midshipmen come into the weekend at 4-4 after splitting a pair of contests last weekend at the Michigan Challenge.

-Navy leads the all-time series between the two teams, 2-1. The last matchup between the two teams was a year ago, when Navy swept the Colonels in straight sets.

-The Midshipmen’s offense is led by a pair of outside hitters. Maddi Sgattoni leads the way with a team-best 100 kills on the year. Her 3.45 kills per set ranks fifth in the Patriot League. Amanda Montag is just behind her with 96 kills on the season.

-Senior Paige Miles brings her team-best 256 assists into the weekend. Her 8.83 assists per set ranks fifth in the conference. 

-Navy ranks third in the Patriot League in kills per set.  

WEST VIRGINIA

-West Virginia comes into the weekend at 5-4 after going 1-2 this past weekend in Hawaii.  

-Eastern leads the all-time series between the two teams 3-2, with the last meeting coming in 2006.

-Sophomore outside hitter Kristina Jordan leads the offensive charge for the Mountaineers. Her 108 kills ranks first on the team, and her 3.72 kills per set ranks fifth in the Big XII.

-Alexa Hasting paces the WVU defense with a 142 digs on the year. Her 5.26 digs per set ranks first in the conference. 

-Lacey Zerwas brings her team-best 314 assists into the weekend. She is averaging 9.81 assists per set on the season.

DUQUESNE

-The Dukes come into this weekend at 4-6 after going 2-1 at the Valley Forge Sports Invitational hosted by Penn.

-Eastern leads the all-time series between the two teams, 3-1.

-Summer Slade leads the way for the Dukes with a team-high 180 kills on the season. She ranks third in the Atlantic 10 conference with 3.09 kills per set.

-Claire Boe paces the defense for the Dukes with 142 digs on the year. Her 4.06 digs per set ranks fifth in the conference.

-Duquesne ranks third in the conference with 15.28 digs per set.

WHAT’S NEXT:

-EKU returns home next Friday for the conference opener against Tennessee State. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. at McBrayer Arena.
