The Northern Kentucky women’s golf team is back in action after a three-week hiatus. The Dayton Flyers Invitational is a two-day tournament that will take place in Kettering, Ohio, at NCR Country Club.
Northern Kentucky will field Macy Wright, Kylie Lysack, Lillian Young, Caitlyn Tasney and Amy Pugliano as its countable scorers. Erin Durstock will compete as an individual for the Norse.
At its most recent showing at Oakland University, the Norse were lead by sophomore Young as she fired dual rounds of 78 to place herself in the top-10. Young was just one stroke shy of earning a share for third place. Northern Kentucky recorded its highest round of the season but look to take those lessons learned to Dayton to shoot two solid team rounds.
The par-70, 5,869-yard North Course at NCR Country Club offers a links-style course very familiar to the Norse. Northern Kentucky will compete starting with an 11 a.m. shotgun start on Oct. 15 followed by the final round starting with a shotgun at 10 a.m. on Oct. 16.
The USGA Tournament Management Golf Genius app will be used for live scoring, real-time TV monitor updates at scoreboard, and next day pairings. Players, coaches and parents can download Golf Genius for free, finding the application at Google Play Store or similar.
