Lillian Young came out firing on all cylinders for the Northern Kentucky women’s golf team, as the sophomore sits in a tie for second on the individual leaderboard and has the Norse in 5thoverall.

Team Tidbits

·      NKU shot a 307 in the opening round, which has the Norse in 5th-place, one shot back of host Dayton.

·      Horizon League foes Youngstown State (292) and Oakland (294) sit atop the team leaderboard.

Norse Nuggets

·      Young is in a four-way tie for second, as four players from the Horizon League posted even-par for the round.

·      Young leads the tournament with 14 pars. She also has a team-best two birdies, which ranks 8th in the event.

·      Macy Wright played the par-5s at even throughout the day and sits tied-21st after posting a 6-over 77.

·      Kylie Lysack and Caitlyn Tasney added countable scores with marks of 79 and 80, respectively.
