Thomas More University senior wide receiver Mitchell Hogue (Harrison, Ohio/Harrison) has been named to the 2019 Academic All-America® team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, student-athletes must have a cumulative 3.30 grade-point average (GPA) or higher, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution, and must have completed at least one calendar year at their institution. Nominees must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games and be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic and academic credentials.

Hogue has maintained a 3.98 grade point average in Sports and Entertainment Marketing.  On campus, he is a member of the ALD and DMD honor societies.  Hogue is active in the community as he volunteers with Special Olympics and the Reds Urban Youth Academy.

On the field, Hogue had a school single-season record 69 receptions for 668 yards and two touchdowns.  He set the Thomas More single-game record for receptions on September 28 when he had 12 receptions in the Saints’ win over Cincinnati Christian University.  Hogue finished her career seventh all-time in receptions at Thomas More with 99 for 937 yards and two touchdowns.

Hogue and the Saints finished the season at 4-7 and 2-5 in the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division.
