The NCAA announced the 62-team field for the upcoming Division III men’s soccer tournament this afternoon and the Centre men’s soccer team is headed to Greencastle, Ind. for a first round matchup with host DePauw on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Colonels earned the Southern Athletic Association’s (SAA) automatic bid by winning the SAA Tournament title on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Millsaps. The win marked Centre’s sixth overall conference championship and first ever SAA Tournament crown. The Colonels will be making their fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first since the 2012 campaign.

DePauw (11-5-2) was an at-large selection in the field as the Tigers dropped their North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) semifinal matchup to eventual champion Kenyon.

Centre defeated DePauw 3-2 in overtime on Sept. 17 in Greencastle. The Colonels own a 10-8-6 advantage in the all-time series against the Tigers.

Also traveling to DePauw will be Redlands (16-5-0) and Washington (Mo.) (10-4-2) in the other matchup in the pod.

Redlands won both the regular season and tournament championships in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), defeating Chapman in the conference tournament final.

WashU earned an at-large bid out of the University Athletic Association (UAA), finishing with a 2-3-2 record in league action. The Bears battled top-ranked Chicago to a 0-0 tie in the final game of the regular season.

Official game times will be announced later today and will be available on
