On the heels of its fifth consecutive Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament championship, the Centre women’s soccer team was selected as a host site for the upcoming NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament First and Second Rounds on Nov. 12-13, the organization announced on Monday.

The 14th-ranked Colonels (18-1-2) will host Piedmont (15-6-1) in the first round on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11 a.m. ET at Hillside Field. Ninth-ranked Hardin-Simmons (19-1) will take on Washington & Lee (15-3-1) at 1:30 p.m. ET in the other game in the pod. The winner of the two matches will meet on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.

Centre is making its sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh trip to the dance under 13th-year head coach Jay Hoffman.

The Colonels are hosting the first and second rounds for the second straight year. Centre advanced to the program’s first NCAA Final Four last season.

Piedmont captured the USA South tournament title and has won nine of ten contests coming into the NCAA Tournament. The Colonels topped the Lady Lions by a score of 1-0 on Sept. 4 at Hillside Field.

Hardin-Simmons earned its 14th American Southwest Conference (ASC) tournament championship in a row over the weekend. The Cowgirls dropped their season opener 1-0 to Pacific Lutheran before rattling off 19 consecutive wins. Hardin-Simmons advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2015.

Washington & Lee won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) with a 2-1 win over Virginia Wesleyan in the title game. Centre defeated the Generals on 2-1 in Lexington, Va. on Sept. 10. Washington & Lee has not lost since Sept. 24, going 11-0-1 during that span.
