GC’s women got behind early, but battled all day against No. 6 Shawnee State University. Emilie Ziese had a career-high 31 points and added 11 rebounds for another double-double. SSU won 81-69.

GC’s men struggled from the line, 18-28, and gave up 12 offensive rebounds as they fall to 2-5 at Frank and Janis Waller Gymnasium in Portsmouth, Ohio since Shawnee State University joined the Mid-South Conference in 2010-11.
Chris Coffey had 17 points and Trent Gilbert score all of his 16 in the second half, four threes and four free throws, but it wasn’t enough in a 78-72 setback. No. 3 Tigers fall to 21-3, 8-2 in MSC.
