Murray State junior Ivan Roe recently stepped away from the Racer Rifle team to travel to Europe for international competition. Roe finished each day of competition as the top American male shooter.

Roe started his trip by qualifying second on day one and fourth on day two at the Meyton Cup in Innsbruck, Austria. In the finals, he would go on to finish seventh and eighth, respectively.

At the Bavarian Airgun Championships in Munich, Germany, Roe barely missed the finals each day, missing by 4.5 points on day one and just 0.4 points on day two.

“I thought Ivan had a very successful trip,” said head coach Alan Lollar. “He gained more valuable experience for future international competitions, but it’s good to have him home.”

Roe and the rest of the Racers return to competition this weekend when they travel to Morehead, Kentucky for the 2016 OVC Rifle Championships.
