The Murray State women’s tennis had a rough Sunday afternoon when they dropped a 4-0 match against the East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
In their first outdoor match of the season, MSU fell to 2-4 in the competition at Dave Mullins Tennis Complex in Johnson City, Tennessee.
This was the seventh meeting between the Buccaneers and the Racers. MSU maintains the lead of 5-2 overall and 4-2 on the road even with today’s loss. The two were meeting for the first time since 2007.
Murray State dropped all singles sets as well in their 4-0 loss to the Bucs.
This is the second doubles loss for the Racers since they traveled to Louisville on Jan. 21. Sara and Anja Loncarevic still won one set in the doubles against the Cardinals.
Racers continue on the road when they take Mocs of Chattanooga on Monday (Feb. 20)
