Thomas More College junior forward Nikki Kiernan (Cold Springs, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) has been named the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week by the PAC office on Monday. This is the second PAC Player of the Week honor for Kiernan this season as she previous earned the honor on January 16.
Kiernan helped lead the PAC-leading Saints to league road wins last week against Bethany College and Geneva College last week. She averaged 20.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 6.0 blocks per game while shooting 72.0 percent (18-of-25) from the field and 100 percent (five-of-five) from the free throw line. Her 23-point, 11-rebound effort against Bethany marked her ninth double-double of the season.
Kiernan and the rest of the No. 3/ 4-ranked Saints return to action on Wednesday (February 8) when they host Westminster College at 5:30 p.m. inside the Connor Convocation Center.
