Murray State senior pitcher Mason Robinson was named as the adidasĀ® OVC Softball Pitcher of Week Wednesday after not allowing a single earned run over 15.1 innings of work.

The Lewis Center, Ohio native posted a 2-0 record on the week over two complete games, including one that was a shutout. She also picked up her first collegiate save in a relief appearance against Western Illinois in which she entered in the sixth and struck out the side, in order, in the seventh to preserve the win.

Robinson gave up just 10 hits on the week, while striking out 11 and walking only two. She limited her opponents to an average of just .138 in her three appearances and allowed just 0.65 base runners per seven innings over the same span.

The honor is the first of the season for a Racer and is the fifth of her career or Robinson. The senior and the rest of her teammate will be in action at home for the first time in 2017 this weekend with five games as part of the 2017 Racer Classic.
