Thomas More Women’s Golf Wins Saints Spring Invitational

Senior Emilie Mattei (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton), competing in her last regular season tournament, finished eighth with a 172 (83-89). Three other Saints finished in the Top-10 as sophomore Christie Modafari (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) finished tied for fourth with a 170 (83-87), sophomore Emily Armbrecht (Taylor Mill, Ky./Holy Cross) finished seventh with a 171 (82-89) and sophomore Sara Jackie (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) was tied for ninth with a 173 (90-83). First-year Sophia Illokken (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) was 21st with a 201 (107-94).

Three Saints competed as individuals as first-year Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) was 14th with a 188 (98-90), junior Amber Greene Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) finished 19th with a 192 (98-94) and junior Bethany DeAtley (Muses Mills, Ky./Fleming County) was 22nd with a 228 (118-110).

University of Pikeville’s Adriane Mason won individual medalist honors with a 159 (80-79).

The Saints are idle until April 28 and 29 when they compete at the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship at Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania.
