The Louisville women’s soccer team announced its 2017 schedule on Wednesday, which features an exhibition match and 10 home matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. The 2017 season will see the Cardinals take on six 2016 NCAA Tournament qualifiers and one College Cup participant.

“Once again our schedule proves to be very challenging and competitive,” said head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes. “We are committed to playing a rigorous non-conference schedule as it helps prepare us for the ACC portion of our schedule. The ACC is arguably the top conference in the country and we are thrilled to host Florida State, Miami, Duke, Pitt, and Wake Forest at Lynn Stadium this fall. We have a very experienced senior class, who have invested immensely in the success and development of our program. I am very excited for their senior year.”

Entering their fourth season in the ACC, the Cardinals schedule includes six of their 10 conference games against NCAA Tournaments qualifiers, with two of those taking place at home against Florida State and Duke.

Following two exhibition games at Ohio State on Aug. 9 and at home against DePaul on Aug. 12, Louisville opens the 2017 season at Lynn Stadium against Boston University on Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m. before welcoming Miami (OH) for a matchup on Aug. 20.

The first road match of the season comes during a midweek tilt against intrastate rival, Indiana, on Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. and then coming home to close out August against Marquette on Aug. 27 at 1:00 p.m.

The Cardinals will travel to Lexington for the Battle of the Bluegrass against instate rival, Kentucky, on Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The Cards then head to Southeast Missouri State on Sept. 4 before playing host to Purdue on Sept. 8 and Gardner-Webb on Sept. 14.

Louisville travels to Boston College to open up league play on Sept. 17 at 1:00 p.m. before returning home to start a three game home stand featuring two NCAA Tournament qualifiers, starting with Florida State on Sept. 21 at 7:00 p.m., Miami on Sept. 24, and Duke on Sept. 29 to close out September.

To kick off October, the Cardinals travel to two NCAA Tournament qualifiers in Clemson on Oct. 5 and Virginia on Oct. 8. The Cardinals then return to Lynn Stadium to close out the regular season home matches against Pitt on Oct. 13 and Wake Forest on Oct. 19.

The final road swing of the season sees Louisville face 2016 College Cup participant North Carolina on Oct. 22 and close out the regular season at NC State on Oct. 26 at 7:00 p.m.

The top eight teams will advance to the ACC Tournament, with the quarterfinals set to being on Oct. 29.
