Louisville’s Donohue and Wynn set for NCAA Men’s Tennis Doubles Championship

The University of Louisville’s Sean Donohue and Parker Wynn will travel to Athens, Ga., to take on Oklahoma’s 15th-ranked duo of Spencer Papa and Andrew Harris in the first round of the NCAA Doubles Championship Thursday. The times for the 32-team bracket will be announced Wednesday evening.
Donohue, a senior from Louisville, Ky., and Wynn, a freshman from North Richland, Hills, Texas, have compiled a 25-7 overall record including a 19-7 tally at No. 1. The duo currently stands at No. 23 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association doubles rankings after appearing in eight ranking periods appearing as high as No. 22.

•They become the seventh NCAA doubles selection in program history to earn an NCAA Championship bid and the first since 2011 when Austen Childs and Viktor Maksimcuk reached the quarterfinals and garnered All-America honors.

•Donohue leads the Cardinals with a 32-10 overall doubles tally, while Wynn finished his rookie campaign with a 41-10 singles record.

•The University of Louisville men’s tennis team finished the 2017 season with a 22-10 overall record after earning the program’s 12th NCAA bid and advancing to the finals of the Columbus Regional.

•Oklahoma’s Harris and Papa were named to the All-Big 12 Second Team and garnered All-Tournament honors in doubles at the Big 12 Championships.
