Thomas More Men’s Golf 35th at PAC Championship

The Thomas More College men’s golf team shot a first round 323 today (Tuesday, May 16, 2017) and is tied for 35th at the 2017 NCAA Division III Championship at El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

Junior Carter Hibbard (Florence, Ky./Boone County) leads the Saints as he is tied for 92nd with a 78. Sophomore Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) and senior Daron Hampton (Maysville, Ky./Mason County) is tied for 155th with matching 82’s. First-year Tyler Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) is tied for 168th with an 84 and senior Jimmy Kelley (California, Ky./Bishop Brossart) is tied for 186th with an 86.

Top-ranked Huntingdon College lead the team championship with a 293 and Huntingdon’s Addison Lambeth lead the individual standings with a 69.

The Saints will begin the second round at 12 p.m. tomorrow on the first tee of the Los Colinas Course. Thomas More must finish in the Top-18 to make the 36-hole cut at the championship.
