WKU signees Jake Ohmer and Taveion Hollingsworth helped the Kentucky All-Stars snap a lengthy drought Sunday in their annual series against Indiana.

Ohmer scored a game-high 30 points with four rebounds and four steals as Kentucky beat its border counterpart 111-110 in double overtime at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky.

The victory was the first for Kentucky in the annual two-game series since 2008. Indiana won Saturday’s first matchup 94-89 in Indianapolis.
Ohmer, a 6-foot guard out of Scott High School in Taylor Mill, Ky., had 20 points in Saturday’s loss in Indiana. His 3-pointer pulled Kentucky within one in the final minute in that game.

Hollingsworth, Kentucky’s 2017 Mr. Basketball award winner, tallied eight points, four assists and three rebounds in Sunday’s victory.

The 6-2 guard out of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, Ky., had a monster outing Saturday with 30 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Hollingsworth (Derby Festival Basketball Classic, Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game) and Ohmer (KABC East-West All-Star Game) have already had plenty of success this spring on the all-star scene.

Other all-star appearances this year by the Hilltopper signing class include center Mitchell Robinson in the McDonald’s All American Game and Jordan Brand Classic, guard Josh Anderson in the Iverson Roundball Classic and junior-college guard Jordan Brangers in the NJCAA Men’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game.
