Eastern Kentucky University has announced an extension of its partnership with Learfield, its exclusive corporate sponsorship sales partner and multimedia rights holder, through June 30, 2027.

“We are excited about our continued partnership with Learfield as we continue to grow the EKUSports brand and expand our sponsorship program with local, regional and national corporations,” said Director of Athletics Stephen Lochmueller. “We are also very proud to be the only Ohio Valley Conference school working with Learfield, the industry leader. We believe our relationship provides a distinct advantage.”

The university began its relationship with Learfield in 2014, following Learfield’s acquisition of EKU Athletics’ previous rights holder Nelligan Sports Marketing. Learfield’s local EKUSports Properties team, led by General Manager Sean Hamilton, is dedicated to representing Eastern Kentucky University and managing all aspects of the rights agreement, which includes signage, digital, corporate sponsorships, television and radio play-by-play and coaches’ shows.

An industry leader for more than four decades, Learfield has a deep presence in the college athletics landscape nationwide. It manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for nearly 130 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas, and supports athletics departments at all competitive levels as title sponsor of the prestigious Learfield Directors’ Cup.
