University of Louisville women’s basketball head coach Jeff Walz and junior guard Asia Durr will look to help lead the way for the U-23 National Team as it competes in the U-23 Four Nations Tournament Saturday through Tuesday.

Walz will serve as head coach of the U-23 National Team, marking his third stint with USA Basketball. He helped both the 2014 USA Basketball Women’s U-18 National Team and 2015 U.S. Women’s U-19 World Championship Team to gold medals with a combined 12-0 record.

Durr already has enjoyed two stints with USA Basketball that resulted in gold medals: the 2013 FIBA Americas U-16 Championship and the 2014 FIBA U-17 World Championship.

Last season, she became the school’s 28th 1,000-point scorer and broke the program’s single-season record with 119 3-pointers, while extending her school record for consecutive games with a trey to 39 contests. Durr finished the year with 692 points, an average of 19.2 per game – both marks that rank fourth in the school history.

USA Basketball opens the tournament on Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. ET against Australia and will then face Canada at 3:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. They wrap the three-game event on Tuesday morning at 5:30 a.m. ET against host Japan.
