With Hurricane Irma approaching the Florida Peninsula earlier this week, Campbellsville University and Warner University have agreed to move this weekend’s football game up a day.

The Tigers and Royals will now play on Friday, Sept. 8 with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at Citizens Bank Field and Finley Stadium. Fans can tune into the Tiger Tailgate Show starting at 4:30 p.m. on WLCU-TV and 88.7 The Tiger.

Campbellsville has started the season with a 2-0 record for the first time since 2011 and only the ninth time in program history.

The Tigers are looking for win No. 150 in Campbellsville’s 30-year football history. Before the game was moved to Friday night, Saturday would have been the 29th year since the very first win back on Sept. 9, 1989 vs. Evansville.

The game will now be the first in program history played on a Friday night.
