The second weekend of action for the Northern Kentucky men’s golf team sees the squad travel to the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, set for Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington, West Virginia, Monday and Tuesday.
Six Norse are competing in the event, with the countable five-man team including Jacob Poore, Jackson Frame, Logan Gamm, Joseph Clark and Ty Debonis. Logan Griffin will participate as an individual.
A Deeper Dive
Poore and Frame led Northern Kentucky at Missouri’s Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in the team’s last outing. The duo each finished in the top-20, with Poore tying for 16th and Frame for 18th. Gamm and Debonis showed flashes of ability to go low last week, while Clark and Griffin will be teeing it up for the first time as Norse.
This marks the fifth-straight year NKU will participate in the Joe Feaganes, with the 2015-16 edition of Norse earning the team’s best finish at 4th. The field this year includes host Marshall, Akron, Belmont, Cleveland State, Davidson, Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, Longwood, Ohio, Radford, Wichita State, William & Mary, Wright State and Youngstown State.
