Kristin Engle carded a 2-over-par 74 on Tuesday in the second round of the Golfweek Women’s Conference Challenge, preserving the Louisville women’s golf team’s tie for 10th after two days of play in Vail, Colo.

The redshirt freshman, Engle is leading the team with a 6-over-par 150 at the Red Sky Golf Club. She made a 13-spot jump on the leaderboard to a tie for 31st, aided by five birdies during the course of the day.

Collectively, the Cardinals put together a 14-over-par 302 and own a two-day score of 25-over-par 601. Louisville, which is tied with Mercer, is eight strokes out of the top five heading into the final day of competition at the Fazio Course.

Jacqueline Twitty had the best round of the day for the Cardinals, clubbing an even-par 72. She made the biggest movement on the team, leaping 20 spots to a tie for 54th.

Lauren Hartlage remained in 39th after shooting a 4-over-par 76. The sophomore, who has a 7-over-par 151, had a smooth day until a double bogey on No. 18.

Olivia Cason is tied for 48th, and Molly Skapik, who is tied for 70th, compiled the Cardinals’ fourth-best score of the day.

Louisville returns to action on Wednesday, paired with Mercer and Central Arkansas, at 11 a.m. ET.
