The Thomas More College shot a two-day total of 618 (312-306) to finish fourth today (Sunday, September 10, 2017) at the Battle at the Brook hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at Plum Brook Country Club in Sandusky, Ohio.

Sophomore Kyle Alexander (Taylorsville, Ky./Spencer County) led the Saints as he finished tied for 13th with a 153 (76-77). Two other Saints finished in the Top-25 as senior Carter Hibbard (Florence, Ky./Boone County) finished tied for 16th after carding a 154 (79-75) and junior Matt Striegel (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic) was tied for 21st with a 155 (77-78).

Sophomore Zack Baynum (California, Ky./Campbell County) finished tied for 27th with a 158 (82-76) and first-year Nick Drake (Bowling Green, Ky./South Warren) finished tied for 37th with a 166 (80-86).

Thomas More had two golfers compete as individuals as sophomore Jacob Zai (Cold Spring, Ky./Bishop Brossart) finished 36th with a 165 (86-79) and first-year Robby Case IV (Crestview Hills, Ky./Covington Catholic) finished tied for 44th with a 184 (91-93).

Ohio Wesleyan won the tournament with a 585 (297-288) and the Battling Bishops’ Will Efkeman was individual medalist with a 142 (69-73).

The Saints return to the links on September 23 and 24 when they compete at the Dan Quayle Collegiate Golf Classic hosted by DePauw University at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Indiana.
