The 36-hole Charles Braun Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Evansville closes out the fall docket for the Northern Kentucky University women’s golf team. Eighteen holes will be played on both Monday and Tuesday at Oak Meadow Country Club in Evansville, Indiana, with a 10 a.m. start both days.
Shelby Power, Macy Wright, Kylie Lysack, Mimi Cheepborisut and Lillian Young form NKU’s countable quintet. Amy Pugliano will compete as an individual.
Norse at the Charles Braun
While this marks the fifth-straight year NKU has participated in Evansville’s fall tournament, the Norse have established themselves as a strong contender in each of the last three years. Sarah Kellam picked up Northern Kentucky’s first individual title as an individual three years ago in leading NKU to a 2nd-place team finish. Then, in each of the last two seasons, the Norse have finished 4th in the event.
A total of 13 teams plan to take to the tee box Monday morning, with Butler, Eastern Illinois, Fort Wayne, Green Bay, UIC, IUPUI, Indiana State, Lipscomb, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State and Valparaiso joining Northern Kentucky and Evansville. Purdue is also sending an individual to compete.
Oak Meadow Country Club is a par-72 layout that will play at 6,032-yards.
