The Eastern Kentucky University volleyball team is riding a three-match winning streak to Clarksville, Tennessee this weekend to square off against a tough Austin Peay State team that is undefeated in conference play. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

-EKU (6-13, 4-1 OVC) comes into the contest after winning a three-match home stand, defeating conference foes Tennessee Tech, Jacksonville State and Morehead State.

-Senior outside hitter Celina Sanks leads the Colonels with 212 kills (2.83-per-set).

-Junior libero Chloe Rojas leads the team with 279 digs, the number being seventh best overall in the conference.

-Ciera Koons is setting the pace for EKU in blocks with 57 on the season.

-Eastern Kentucky leads the series with the Govs, 41-24.

-EKU returns all letterwinners from last season.

-Drost and Woody were both named All-OVC Preseason Selections going into the season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT:

AUSTIN PEAY
-The Governors (17-12, 5-0 OVC) come into the matchup on an 11-match streak, downing their last four opponents in just three sets each.

-Ashley Slay is leading all players with 281 kills, the number being second-best in the conference, hitting a .300 efficiency.

-Kristen Stucker leads the conference in assists with 820 on the year (11.39/set).

WHAT’S NEXT:
-EKU returns to McBrayer Arena next weekend to take on Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Friday night (Oct. 13) at 6 p.m. and will square off against Eastern Illinois University on Saturday (Oct. 14) at 2 p.m.
