Thursday’s women’s soccer match between No. 20 Florida and Kentucky is to be played 5 p.m. at Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium in Daytona Beach, Fla. Admission is free.
“I’d like to thank Embry-Riddle Athletics Director John Phillips for agreeing to accommodate the teams and this match,” Florida AD Scott Stricklin said. “This is an unusual request and we are grateful that Embry-Riddle is welcoming this event to their campus. Also appreciate the cooperation from Kentucky Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart and the Wildcat team in this location change.”
Three Southeastern Conference matches remain for each team. Florida (11-4, 5-2 SEC) is fourth in the league standings with 15 points off its league record. Kentucky (7-10, 2-5 SEC) is tied for ninth with six SEC points and will be looking for a win to preserve a spot among the 10 teams advancing to the SEC Tournament.
