The University of Louisville women’s golf team plays host to the 14th Cardinal Cup on Saturday and Sunday at the UofL Golf Club in Simpsonville, Ky.

The event on the par-72, 6,250-yard course features a 14-school field, with each day beginning with a 9:15 a.m. ET shotgun start. Teams will play 36 holes on Saturday and conclude with 18 hole on Sunday. Live scoring is available on Golfstat.com.

Two teams are in the top 20 in the latest Golfstat.com rankings, with a total of seven programs listed in the top 50: No. 15 Illinois, No. 16 Kent State, No. 36 Wisconsin, No. 37 Kentucky, No. 41 Louisville, No. 46 East Carolina, No. 50 Memphis.

All 10 Louisville golfers are participating in the Cardinal Cup. The Cardinals’ scoring lineup – the Red team – consists of Lauren Hartlage, Molly Skapik, Kristin Engle, Olivia Cason, and Jacqueline Twitty. Delaney Shah is leading the black team, which also features Meghan Nay, Linda Trockel, Margot Bechadergue, and Jordan Susce.

The Cardinals are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational, totaling a 3-over-par 867. The Cardinals tournament score is tied for the seventh-lowest mark in program history. Louisville opened the year with consecutive ties for fifth.

Skapik paced the Cardinals at the event in Chapel Hill, N.C., shooting a career-best 7-under-par 209 to take 10th. In the first round, she clubbed a collegiate-best 6-under-par 66, the second-lowest round in school history.

Skapik and Hartlage lead Louisville with identical even-par 72.00 averages. The duo also has six rounds even or below par.
