Northern Kentucky women’s soccer player Emily Lohmann was named the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced in a press release today. Lohmann helped the Norse earn a big point on the road in a 1-1 draw on Saturday against Milwaukee.

The Panthers had 27 shots during the contest, and Lohmann recorded a career-high 11 saves. Lohmann now has 51 saves on the season and a 0.99 goals against average. In the past five outings, Lohmann has given up just three goals. The Norse are unbeaten in the past five matches and sport a 4-0-1 record in Horizon League play.

NKU returns home to face Green Bay on Saturday, Oct. 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at NKU Soccer Stadium, and the match will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
