The Thomas More College women’s golf team shot a two-day total of 750 (373-377) to finish seventh today (Sunday, October 8, 2017) at the Eva Shorb Weiskopf Invitational hosted by The College of Wooster at the Wooster Country Club in Wooster, Ohio.

Sophomore Cora Bradford (Union, Ky./Ryle) led the Saints as she finished 19th with a 183 (88-85). Junior Christie Modafari (Mason, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) finished 21st with a 186 (95-91).

Junior Sara Jackie (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) finished tied for 32nd with a 191 (98-93) and senior Amber Greene (Catlettsburg, Ky./Fairview) also finished tied for 32nd with a 191 (92-99).
Sophomore Sophia Illokken (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) finished 38th with a 198 (100-98).

First-year Abby Albrinck (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) competed as an individual and finished 50th with a 223 (110-113).

The University of Mount Union won the team championship and Marietta College’s Jackie Cunningham won individual medalist honors with a 150 (74-76).

This tournament concluded the fall portion of the Saints’ 2017-18 scheduled. The spring schedule will be announced in January.
