Match Overview
The Murray State rifle team defeated Jacksonville State, 4708-4632, Saturday at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford, Mississippi in the Racers’ final regular season match of the year.

Coach Lollar On The Match
“I was really proud of our team’s consistency today. Shelby had a nice day, while Bobby, Ivan, Kenzie, Barbara and Ben were a solid team for the third week in a row. I was proud of everyone, as they all learned and got better.”

Smallbore
Barbara Schläpfer and MacKenzie Martin led Murray State with a 586 in the event, while Robert Broadstreet and Ivan Roe followed at 582. Ben Estes rounded out the squaded shooters for Murray State with a 579.

Air Rifle
Roe led the way for Murray State with 595, while Broadstreet was just off pace at 594. Schläpfer and Martin were next for the Racers at 592 and 591, while Estes finished with 587 and Shelby Huber shot a 590.

Aggregate
Schläpfer had the largest total of the match at 1178, while Roe and Martin each had an 1177 and Broadstreet had an 1176. Estes and Huber followed with the fifth highest total in 1166.

Coach Lollar On The Match
“I am proud of whole team, it would be hard to single out any one person,” head coach Alan Lollar said after the match. “As a whole, we performed very well, after putting in solid training leading up to the match. Now, we are looking forward to hosting the OVC championships next week.
